The diploma awarding ceremony for the 2026 graduates of Andijan State Technical Institute took place in Bobur city. Institute management, professors and teachers, representatives of state and public organizations, representatives of major employing organizations, honorary educators, successful bachelor's and master's degree graduates, as well as their parents participated in this traditional event.
The event was opened by the Institute Rector, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Umid Turdialiev, who spoke about supporting young people, ensuring they receive quality education, and the opportunities being created for them to acquire modern professional skills. He congratulated the graduates on entering a new stage of life and expressed confidence in their significant contribution to the country's development.
During the ceremony, institute students who were winners of the 'Almaty TechCup XII: Age of AI – Future Race' international championship held in Almaty, Kazakhstan, were honored. Additionally, certificates of appreciation from the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation were presented to another group of students who achieved high results in education, scientific research, innovative projects, and international competitions.
Following this, official diplomas were handed over to the young people who successfully completed the bachelor's and master's levels. According to the information, this year Andijan State Technical Institute successfully prepared a total of 1864 graduates across more than 30 fields of study, including transport, energy, construction, and economics. The event concluded with a concert program.

This academic year, 3986 students successfully graduated from the university. Of these, 331 are master's level graduates. Furthermore, 75 percent of them are women, which reflects the growing participation and potential of women in science and higher education in the country.

As part of ongoing reforms in the higher education system of Uzbekistan, aimed at expanding opportunities for professional qualification improvement and retraining of citizens, a new regulation has been approved.
According to this new procedure, approved by a government decree, citizens who already have a higher education can now obtain a second and subsequent higher education based on a special three-year educational program at Tashkent State Law University (TSLU).
Applicants with a higher education apply for the 'Jurisprudence' field of study based on the results of entrance examinations. Document submission is carried out annually through the special electronic system of the Agency for Knowledge and Competence Assessment from July 10 to August 10 inclusive.
Furthermore, according to this regulation, applicants only take tests in profile subjects and foreign languages. Benefits provided in general entrance exams do not apply to the special three-year program. However, the existing procedure remains valid for individuals who possess international certificates in foreign language proficiency.
The study periods at the master's level have also been defined. Specifically, bachelor's graduates in the 'Jurisprudence' field study in the master's program for one year, while graduates of related fields study for two years.
This procedure provides broad opportunities for citizens with a higher education who wish to gain additional specialization in the legal field, expand their professional activities, and raise their knowledge level in the field of law. It is expected that this decision will contribute to the improvement of the system for training qualified lawyers in the country and enhance the quality of legal education.
