Local historian Charles Jaftha will lead a two-hour walk detailing the history of flower farming in the area dating back to the 1800s. Proceeds from this experience go to the Constantia Heritage Fund.
On Saturday, July 18, and Sunday, July 19, a living memorial will be established at the Rustlers Valley regenerative farm in Naledi village, Eastern Free State, in honor of musicians Ricky Rick and Anton Chaka. Instead of a monument or plaque, the Ricky Rick Artivism Promotion Fund, in partnership with community stakeholders, will launch a forest memorial where trees will be planted in memory of their lives and legacy. The significance of this event for agriculture lies in its location on a regenerative farm that integrates ecological restoration, community healing, and sustainable land management.
