Expectations for HCL Tech
Following the strong quarter reported by TCS in June, attention is focused on HCL Technologies, which will present its Q1 FY27 results later in the day. The board of directors will also consider the second interim dividend for FY27, although the record date has not yet been announced.
Investors will closely watch how HCL Tech's revenue is growing, its margins, the number of won contracts, FY27 forecasts, AI-related demand trends, as well as the dividend announcement.
LTM (formerly LTI Mindtree) Q1 Results
The company LTM, formerly known as LTI Mindtree, reported a 17% year-on-year growth in consolidated net profit, reaching ₹1,468 crore for the first quarter of FY27. Revenue increased by 18% to ₹11,608 crore.
In dollar terms, revenue grew by 6.1% year-over-year, amounting to $1.22 billion, with a 6.4% growth in constant currency (CC). Among the business verticals, financial services was the only one to show a decline of 2.5% in CC terms. The consumer sector, technology, and manufacturing verticals demonstrated growth of 18.2%, 10%, and 5.3%, respectively.

The GIFT Nifty fell almost 200 points to 24,045, signaling a weak start for the Nifty50. Asian markets were also declining amid renewed concerns about energy supplies through the Strait of Hormuz following the conflict between the US and Iran. Japan's Nikkei 225 index dropped by 1.44%, and South Korea's Kospi fell by 3.58%.
US President Donald Trump stated that the Strait of Hormuz remains open for commercial traffic, while Iran declared it closed.
