A delegation from the Andzhan region of Uzbekistan, led by Hokim Shukhratbek Abdurakhmonov, visited the Belarusian timber processing enterprise KimaBel. The purpose of the trip was to study the company's production processes and gain experience in the full cycle of wood processing.
KimaBel, founded in 2013, is one of the leading companies in the Belarusian woodworking industry. The enterprise has won several certificates and awards confirming the high quality of its products.
The company's production complex, located near Polotsk, is equipped with modern machinery. It covers the entire cycle of wood processing: from sawing round logs to creating lumber and products from sawn boards, and also includes drying, sorting, and processing of secondary raw materials.
A large part of KimaBel's production is exported. According to the company itself, its activities are based on maintaining high product quality, satisfying customer needs, and forming long-term partnerships. The visit of the delegation from the Andzhan region was part of efforts to study international experience and seek opportunities for joint work in the woodworking industry.
A delegation from the Fergana region, led by Hokim Khayrullo Bozorov, continues to familiarize itself with the activities of enterprises in the Gomel region as part of the III Forum of Regions of Uzbekistan and Belarus.
One of the first facilities visited by the delegation was the joint-stock company 'Turovshchina' (JSC Turovshchina), which is one of the largest agricultural enterprises in the Zhichavichsky district. Representatives of the Uzbek delegation inspected a grain storage facility with a capacity of 5000 tons and studied the products manufactured by this enterprise.
JSC 'Turovshchina' operates as a multi-profile agro-industrial complex. Its main areas of activity include the production and sale of agricultural products, the manufacturing of preserves through the 'Turovskoye Canning Production' branch, as well as providing tourism and hunting services via the 'Losiny Ostrov' branch.
Canning production at 'Turovskoye Canning Production' includes a wide range of goods: pickled and canned vegetables, pumpkin paste, snacks made from canned vegetables, ketchup, as well as juices made from natural fruits, vegetables, and berries, including concentrates.
The main specialization of the agricultural enterprise remains focused on growing grains, legumes, fodder, and industrial crops, as well as producing milk and meat. The farm pays special attention to implementing modern technologies in crop production and optimizing the efficient use of land resources. To carry out the full range of agricultural operations, the enterprise possesses a modern fleet of agricultural machinery, as well as trailer and attached equipment.
Representatives from the Fergana region were also shown the company's organizational methods in the field of agro-industrial production. These methods are aimed at increasing the volume of produced goods, ensuring a stable supply of high-quality raw materials for processing capacities, and strengthening food security.
An official delegation from the Andijan region, led by Hokim Shukhratbek Abdurakhmanov during an official visit to Belarus, held negotiations with the Chairman of the Grodno Regional Executive Committee, Yuri Karaev.
As a result of the meeting, the parties identified four key areas for developing trade and economic ties, as well as for implementing joint investment projects.
One of the main areas of cooperation will be the livestock sector. The parties are considering the possibility of acquiring unused livestock complexes in the Grodno region to create meat processing facilities intended to supply the Uzbek market.
A project for growing high-yield potato varieties in the Grodno region was also discussed, which will cover an area of about 3000 hectares.
Furthermore, an agreement was reached on the supply of quality timber from Belarus, which will serve as necessary raw material for furniture production enterprises in Uzbekistan.
The development of cooperation in the furniture industry will proceed in stages. In the initial phase, producers from the Grodno region will be provided with trade space in a large furniture center located in the Altynkulsky district of the Andijan region. In the future, the parties plan to establish joint furniture production facilities directly in Uzbekistan.
At the conclusion of the negotiations, representatives of the Andijan and Grodno regions confirmed their readiness for further expansion of trade, economic, and investment cooperation, agreeing to ensure the implementation of the approved projects in the shortest possible time.
