A meeting was held at Navoi State University with the rector of Tashkent State Agrarian University, Narzullo Oblomuradov. The purpose of this meeting was to expand mutually beneficial cooperation in the higher education system.
During the negotiations, issues such as developing academic mobility for teachers and students, conducting joint scientific research, implementing modern educational technologies, and training competitive personnel were discussed.
As part of this meeting, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the two higher educational institutions, aimed at advancing interaction in the fields of education, science, and innovation to a new level.
The document provides for the implementation of joint educational and scientific projects, support for innovative research, and startup initiatives. It also plans to expand academic exchange for teachers and students, as well as organize professional development and experience exchange programs. Special attention will be paid to strengthening the integration of education, science, and production.
Furthermore, the memorandum emphasizes the need to implement joint scientific and practical and production projects concerning the efficient and rational use of water resources, modernization of irrigation systems, and water conservation, accounting, and management of water resources.
An important aspect of the partnership is the application of artificial intelligence, robotics, and digital technologies in agriculture, as well as improving the qualifications of specialists in these areas and exchanging best practices and expertise.

As part of another operational measure aimed at preventing the illegal trade of tobacco products not marked by excise centers, large batches of products were discovered in the Jizzakh region.
Employees of the Jizzakh Regional Customs Department, together with representatives of other law enforcement agencies, conducted an unscheduled inspection. During this operation, a retail point, a warehouse, and the residential building of a citizen living in the city of Jizzakh were inspected.
The inspections revealed that 3064 boxes of tobacco products from 60 different types were stored. This product lacks the marking of the Republic of Uzbekistan's excise centers, and its initial value is estimated at 121.3 million UZS.
This situation once again demonstrates the consistency of control measures being carried out to prevent the illegal circulation of tobacco products, ensure a legal trading environment in the domestic market, and protect state interests. Investigative work is currently underway regarding this fact.
