New infrastructure facilities—toilets and special rooms for mothers and children—have started operating at the 'Mustaqillik Maydoni' and 'Bodomzor' stations of the Tashkent Metro in Uzbekistan.
Conditions for Using the New Facilities
According to information provided by the capital metro's press service, a fee of 4 thousand soums is charged for using the toilet. This facility is available to passengers daily from 07:00 to 22:00.
Equipment and Accessibility
The new rooms are equipped with all necessary hygiene supplies. To ensure convenience for both local residents and visitors to the capital, all signs and informational boards are designed in three languages.
Benefits for Certain Categories of Citizens
Free access to sanitary facilities is provided to certain groups of people. These include veterans of the Second World War, people with disabilities, children under seven years old, pensioners, participants in the cleanup of the Chernobyl NPP accident consequences, as well as law enforcement officers. Passengers require the relevant identification document to receive preferential access.
