The national team of Uzbekistan won five awards at the 56th International Physics Olympiad (IPhO 2026), which took place in Colombia from July 4 to July 12.

The team secured two silver medals, two bronze medals, and one Honorable Mention award.
Silver medals were awarded to Asylbek Zhumanazarov, a student of the Specialized School of Exact Sciences at the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers National Research University, and Muhammad Abdumalikov from Mirzo Ulugbek Specialized School.
Bronze medals were won by Elbek Urakov, who also studies at the Specialized School of Exact Sciences at the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers National Research University, and Hasan Kamolov, a student of Specialized School No. 1 in Kokand.
Additionally, Javohir Aknazarov from Mirzo Ulugbek Specialized School received an Honorable Mention award.
The Uzbekistan freestyle wrestling team won two awards—one gold and one bronze—at the Asian U20 Championship held in Thailand.
According to the press service of the National Olympic Committee, the Uzbekistan team achieved success in the U20 youth freestyle wrestling competitions in Thailand. The gold medal was awarded to Ulugbek Rashidov in the -57 kg weight category. He won the decisive matches and became the Asian champion.
Additionally, Sanjarbek Anvarbekov won a bronze medal in the -65 kg weight category. Thus, Uzbek athletes concluded today's matches at the U20 freestyle wrestling championship with two medals.
The championship is being held in Pattaya, Thailand. The competition program includes Greco-Roman wrestling, women's wrestling, and freestyle wrestling. It is worth noting that Ulugbek Rashidov has previously shown high results at the continental level and successfully participated in the U17 Youth World Championship.
The Uzbekistan national team performed successfully at the U15 Asian Wrestling Championship held in Pattaya, Thailand. The team achieved victory by winning five medals in the freestyle wrestling discipline.
In the under 38 kilograms weight category, Otabek Tukhtamurodov won the gold medal. Asomiddin Badriddinov in the under 41 kilograms category and Ismoiljon Nazirjonov in the under 62 kilograms category received silver medals. Bronze awards were given to Ozodbek Abduvoitov (in the under 57 kilograms category) and Behruz Davronov (in the under 68 kilograms category).
After a series of intense matches, the athletes will have a rest day before the bouts scheduled for wrestlers in the under 20 age group begin. It is worth noting that previously at this same Asian Championship, the Uzbekistan team won eight awards among the under 15 athletes, including three golds, and also took first place in the overall standings in Greco-Roman wrestling.
