UzAuto Motors accounted for almost half of all sales, supplying 81,210 units from its plant in Asaka, which represented 46.3% of the market. UzAuto Khorezm, which produces the commercial models Damas and Labo, sold 54,862 vehicles, or 31.3% of the market. Together, these two enterprises of the UzAuto group provided more than three-quarters of all domestic vehicle sales.
The third position was held by ADM Jizzakh, which sold 21,743 vehicles in the first six months, capturing a 12.4% market share. During the same period, BYD Uzbekistan Factory sold 17,012 vehicles, increasing its market share to 9.7%. Other manufacturers had a relatively small contribution: Samarqand Avtomobil Zavodi sold 397 vehicles (0.2%), and Asaka Motors sold 150 vehicles (0.1%).
The market structure by vehicle segment remained largely unchanged. B-segment sedans accounted for 34.5% of total sales, while light commercial vehicles made up 31.4%. B-segment SUVs held a 22% share, and C-segment SUVs accounted for 7%. C-segment sedans comprised 3% of sales, and D-segment models accounted for 1.1%.
Chevrolet maintained its status as the dominant brand, selling 136,072 vehicles since the beginning of the year. BYD ranked second with 17,010 vehicles, followed by Kia with 12,286 units. Chery sold 4,820 vehicles in the first half of the year, and Haval sold 4,402. SamAuto sold 275 vehicles, followed by Changan with 235 and Hyundai with 150.
The best-selling model was the Chevrolet Cobalt, which recorded sales of 40,936 sedans. Damas was second with 34,286 units, and Tracker was third with 20,274. Among the five best-selling models by the end of June, Labo surpassed Onix, showing sales of 19,723 versus 19,595, a difference of 128 units.
The most popular model outside the Chevrolet lineup was the Kia Sonet, sold in quantity of 9,653 vehicles. The top ten best-selling models also included the BYD Song Plus DM-i Uzpride hybrid with 5,630 units, BYD Yuan-Up with 4,277, and Chazor Champion with 3,771. Other notable models included the Haval M6 with sales of 2,095, Chery Tiggo 7 Pro with 1,557, and Haval Jolion with 1,480.
According to data from the National Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Statistics, passenger car production in Uzbekistan reached 190,480 units during the period from January to May 2026. This figure exceeds the volume produced in the same period last year, which was 171,211 units.
The volume of truck output increased to 2,413 units compared to 1,873 units a year earlier. The production of specialized vehicles also showed growth, reaching 23,791 units up from 17,397 units.
Among specific passenger car models, the largest production volume was recorded for the Cobalt model, which amounted to 69,302 units, compared to 58,904 units a year earlier. Significant growth was also noted for the BYD model, whose output almost doubled, reaching 10,120 units versus 5,495 units in January-May 2025.
Additionally, the production of Haval models increased to 4,038 units from 2,930 units, and KIA output rose to 11,128 units compared to 10,076 units.
Meanwhile, there was a decrease in the output of some models. Damas production decreased to 35,269 units compared to 38,753 units a year earlier. Onix output fell to 15,157 units from 16,215 units, and Chery production dropped to 3,156 units from 3,362 units. The Tracker model showed a slight increase, reaching 18,519 units compared to 18,079 units last year.
