Acting classes named 'Imkoniyatlar Sahnasi' were held in Tashkent for school pupils and students. Over two days, fifteen young people mastered the basics of acting, stage speech, and movement under the guidance of experienced mentors, applying the acquired skills in practice.
Organization and Goal of the Project
According to a Sputnik correspondent, this project was organized by the Russian House in Tashkent and the State Youth Theatre of Uzbekistan. In two days, participants studied the principles of acting, stage speech, and movement, as well as performed exercises to develop attention and imagination. Additionally, they learned juggling, proper breathing, clear pronunciation, working in pairs on stage, and many other skills.
Attracting Youth to Theatre
Farhod Jurayev, Director of the State Youth Theatre of Uzbekistan, emphasized that the project is aimed at both schoolchildren and students of higher educational institutions who do not have specialized education or are not involved in artistic fields. The main goal of the project is to interest young people in the art of theatre. He noted that this is a large project that will continue because the theatre is currently undergoing renovation. After the successful reopening of the theatre, he believes many participants will want to remain in the school-studio complex attached to the theatre for professional knowledge acquisition and showcasing natural talents.
Mentors' Team and Training
Experienced teachers worked during the acting classes. Among them were Dmitry Rezepin, a director of military action scenes in performances, actor, and educator; Ulugbek Zaripov, Director of the Department of Circus Art at the Karim Zaripov Republican Variety and Circus Higher School, a recognized artist of Uzbekistan and holder of Guinness World Records; and director, actress, and educator Gozal Suleymanova.
Gozal Suleymanova shared her experience, stating that she has worked at the State Youth Theatre of Uzbekistan for 15 years, where she staged numerous plays that toured in many countries, including Russia. She has been engaged in pedagogical activities for over twenty years, starting her journey in the theatre's school-studio, and has been working at the Karim Zaripov Republican Variety and Circus Higher School for over 11 years.
Training and Participants' Impressions
During the classes, participants underwent training to develop attention and imagination, as well as fundamental psychophysical training, including movement imitation and animal observation. Gozal Suleymanova is confident that after attending these classes, young people will start looking at the world completely differently, calling it a 'small discovery' for them.
Daniella Panferova, a graduate of the 44th general education school who plans to enroll in the VGIK (BDKU) branch in Tashkent, decided to participate in the courses to gain experience in acting. After the first day, she shared her impressions, noting that she is learning new things such as juggling and small acrobatic movements, and she really likes it because she believes these skills align with her future profession.
Conclusion of Courses and Prospects
Upon completion of the courses, participants were awarded certificates that can provide additional points when applying to higher educational institutions in Russia. The 'Imkoniyatlar Sahnasi' courses will continue their activities, providing participants with the opportunity to reach the professional stage in the future.
