The Central Bank of Uzbekistan has presented a limited edition of commemorative silver coins issued in honor of the I International Forum of Islamic Civilization. Each coin is accompanied by a unique numbered certificate.
Purpose and Design of the Coins
These coins are intended as souvenirs for forum participants. The design of each coin reflects the key themes of the event, including peace, tolerance, science, enlightenment, and the preservation of cultural heritage.
Additional Issues and the Forum
In addition to the series dedicated to the forum, other coins have become available at one of the banks. These include issues dedicated to Uzbekistan's participation in the 2026 World Cup and to the 690th anniversary of Amir Timur's birth.
The forum itself takes place from July 7 to 11 and covers cities such as Tashkent, Samarkand, and Termez. The event has gathered scientists, theologians, religious leaders, experts, and representatives of international structures from many countries.
Organizers' Position
It was previously reported that at the forum, Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized the need to counter ignorance through knowledge and stressed the importance of enlightenment for societal progress.
