Students who took the second CBSE assessment this year are still waiting for the results to be announced. More than a month has passed since the exams concluded, but students have not yet been able to finalize their enrollment. Students and their parents are sharing their difficulties on social media, but there has been no response from the commission itself.
Contradictions in the admission process
While schools refuse to confirm enrollment, they continue to demand tuition fees starting from April.
Procedure for CBSE examinations
CBSE introduced a two-assessment scheme for tenth graders. According to this rule, participation in the first, main assessment is mandatory. The second assessment is intended for students with component gaps or for those who wish to improve their grades. The results will display the highest scores from both assessments.
Opportunity to improve grades
If a student successfully passes the first assessment but is dissatisfied with the obtained scores, they have the right to improve their grades in a maximum of three subjects from mathematics, natural sciences, social studies, and languages.
Scale of exam participation
Over 680 thousand students participated in the tenth-grade exam. Of these, 525,655 applied for improvement, 85,285 for components, and 57,914 for both components and improvement. The exams took place from May 15 to May 21, but information about the results is currently unavailable.
Some students have already enrolled in eleventh grade and started their studies, while those still awaiting the second assessment results are forced to postpone their further education.
