Retailers in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) reported that the feeding bottles recalled in Saudi Arabia are not available in local supermarkets and pharmacies.
This fact became known after the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Commerce announced the recall of 22 units of Nursh 8oz Reusable Baby Bottles (product number B11654). Authorities warned that parts of the bottle's outer protective layer may peel or detach, forming small fragments that pose a choking hazard to infants.
To determine the presence of the affected bottles in the UAE, the publication Khaleej Times conducted checks and visited stores across Dubai. Warwick Girard, General Manager of Marketing and E-commerce at Spinneys, informed the publication that they do not stock this product line.
Al Madina supermarkets' Marketing, Communications, and E-commerce department staff provided similar confirmation, with Arun Tottian noting that the recalled bottles are not sold in their stores.
Furthermore, employees at Night to Night stores stated that they have never sold products from the Nursh brand. One seller commented: 'We do not carry this brand. We have other brands of baby bottles, but not this one.'
Similar responses were received from several pharmacies in the Deira area of Dubai. A seller at one pharmacy told the publication that they offer bottles from other brands, but not NURSH.
Although the product appears to be absent from the surveyed retailers, Khaleej Times contacted an e-commerce platform to check if the recalled bottles were listed in the UAE. A response from the platform was still pending at the time of publication.
Parents in the UAE who may have purchased this item while traveling or through international online platforms are advised to carefully check the product number. If it matches the recalled batch, they should stop using the bottle and contact the manufacturer for a replacement or refund.
