Over thirty years of free trade has contributed to the border between the United States and Mexico becoming one of the busiest commercial corridors in the world. However, the US decision not to renew the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) trade pact starting July 1st places an uncertain future before businesses and workers dependent on cross-border trade.
Consequences for Business
As a result of this refusal to renew USMCA, enterprises and workers whose activities are related to cross-border trade are beginning to prepare for a period of instability.
