Train tickets via the IRCTC website will soon become faster and more convenient. According to Railways, a beta version of the updated IRCTC website will be launched shortly.
New Website Features
The updated platform will provide users with a clean interface, free from unnecessary pop-up windows, flashing graphics, superfluous CAPTCHAs, and other distracting elements. In a statement by the Railway Board, it was noted that the improvements in the beta version include displaying seat availability across all coach classes.
Improved Purchase Process
An accelerated checkout process has also been implemented by reducing the number of steps required to purchase tickets, and rebooking has been simplified by saving passenger data.
Gathering Feedback
On Friday, representatives of IRCTC and the Central Railway Information Systems met with students from Malaviya National Institute of Technology in Jaipur. These officials requested additional feedback before the official launch of the beta version. Previously, students from this institute had pointed out issues on the website, after which the carrier promised to update the portal by July 15.
