The parties discussed the current state of bilateral ties and prospects for increasing trade and economic interaction between the two countries.
During the negotiations, particular attention was paid to developing cooperation in areas such as tourism, agriculture, textile industry, mining and trade of precious stones, transport and logistics, pharmaceuticals, and the production of mineral fertilizers.
Furthermore, representatives of both countries considered the possibility of establishing a Joint Intergovernmental Commission and a Business Council. It is expected that these institutional structures will help coordinate practical projects and promote the further development of bilateral cooperation.
A bilateral meeting took place in Tashkent between Alisher Agzamkhodjaev, Chairman of the Senate Committee on International Relations, Foreign Economic Ties, Foreign Investments, and Tourism, and Zbigniew Rau, a member of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland. The goal of the meeting was to determine promising directions for bilateral interaction.
The diplomatic session focused primarily on strengthening inter-parliamentary ties, activating high-level political dialogue, and expanding direct participation in the fields of trade, economy, investment, tourism, and cultural and humanitarian issues.
Zbigniew Rau, who previously served as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland, noted that he arrived in Tashkent as a delegate to the inaugural International Forum of Islamic Civilization. He highly praised the organizational level of this prestigious event, emphasizing that strategic panel discussions among legislators and international organizations serve as an effective tool for strengthening trusting cooperation between states.
Both officials exchanged views on the development of modern parliamentary diplomacy. They discussed the need to expand knowledge exchange mechanisms in legislative processes, deepen ties between the regional administrative bodies of both countries, and provide mutual institutional support within international parliamentary assemblies.
In commercial terms, the parties reviewed specific proposals aimed at increasing the volume of mutual trade, diversifying import and export portfolios, and accelerating the implementation of joint industrial projects. Special attention was paid to creating opportunities for regular interaction between business circles of Uzbekistan and Poland, as well as developing new tourist packages to leverage the growing popularity of Uzbekistan as a travel destination.
At the conclusion of the working meeting, both delegations reaffirmed their commitment to the systematic expansion of friendly relations between Uzbekistan and Poland, maintaining constructive inter-parliamentary dialogue, and supporting future joint initiatives of mutual strategic interest.
The Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan, Laziz Kudratov, held a series of meetings in Tbilisi on June 30 and July 1, 2026. The goal of these negotiations was to develop practical economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Georgia ahead of an upcoming high-level official visit.
During discussions with the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Mariam Kvirivishvili, both sides agreed on further steps to expand bilateral interaction. An agreement was reached to prepare a number of documents for signing aimed at strengthening ties in the fields of trade, investment, transport, and logistics. Furthermore, the parties agreed to hold the eleventh meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission in Georgia this autumn.
The Head of the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan also held talks with the management of 22 Georgian companies and organizations. As a result of these meetings, agreements were concluded on the implementation of projects in sectors such as industry, construction, logistics, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, energy, the oil and gas sector, and the production of building materials.
Significant attention was paid to the issue of financial support for joint ventures. Within the discussions, the further development of TBC operations in Uzbekistan, the creation of an investment platform to attract funds from international funds, and the formation of a fund to support industrial cooperation projects were considered.
The First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Bahromjon Aloev, held talks in Muscat on July 1, 2026, with Salim Ali Sayabi, Chairman of the Omani company Alsiyabi International Group LLC.
The parties discussed specific proposals to strengthen cooperation in the fields of construction, tourism, infrastructure, and the establishment of medical facilities.
During the meeting, the issue of the Omani company's participation in the implementation of major urban development projects in Uzbekistan was also considered. The introduction of modern engineering and construction solutions, the development of tourist infrastructure, and the formation of partnerships in real estate development were discussed.
