The Chairman of the Senate, Tanzila Norboeva, emphasized the need to ensure that social assistance funds and provided benefits reach their rightful recipients, insisting on parliamentary and deputy oversight in this area.
Child Protection and Education
The adopted law on child protection contributes to creating a safe and healthy environment for the child within the education system. Restrictions were introduced on the professional activities of individuals who harm children. As noted by the Chairman of the Senate, heads of every educational institution, teachers, and educators must deeply understand that the value of a child cannot be justified under any circumstances.
Discussion of Other Areas
On the second working day of the plenary session, issues related to the state civil service, the pharmaceutical industry, and other areas were discussed. It was noted that consistent work on creating a professional public administration system contributes to increasing the efficiency of civil servants and strengthening public trust in government services.
Guarantees for Civil Servants
It is guaranteed that when transitioning to work at the Presidential Administration, employees of the Prosecutor's Office, internal affairs, the National Guard, and judges will retain their previous positions in the personnel reserve. Senators who adopted the laws stated that the administrative reforms being carried out in the country increase efficiency.
International Status and Services
A national report was presented at the meeting on improving the Republic of Uzbekistan's position in international rankings and indices. It was particularly noted that the main goal is not to occupy high places in world rankings, but to increase the effectiveness of the reforms being implemented, ensuring the welfare and rights of citizens. Furthermore, the results of parliamentary inquiries to the Cabinet of Ministers regarding the quality of services provided by management services and housing companies were reviewed.
