Anthropic has introduced Reflect, a new dashboard integrated into the web and desktop versions of Claude. This feature aims to allow users to track their interaction patterns with the chatbot, following a logic similar to that used by Spotify, with the goal of promoting more conscious use of artificial intelligence.
The dashboard offers a detailed summary of conversations held with the AI, highlighting the most discussed topics and the user's most frequent requests. Users can refine the view of this history over periods of one, three, six, or even twelve months, which helps in identifying times of highest activity.
Additionally, Reflect functions as a productivity guide. If the system identifies that the user is repeating the same context across various conversations, it suggests using the 'Projects' feature to consolidate information and optimize time.
Regarding privacy, Anthropic assures that strict restrictions have been implemented. The dashboard does not record dialogues from anonymous chats nor does it process the content of attached files. The developer also confirms that interactions related to health tools are excluded from the dashboard. The generated metrics are accessible exclusively to the user themselves, and Anthropic emphasizes that this personal data will not be used for language model training or shared with third parties.
To aid in maintaining mental health, Reflect incorporates features focused on digital wellbeing. The interface allows users to schedule quiet times and set reminders for breaks after long periods of use. The system also presents periodic questions, such as 'What would you like to keep doing?'. This approach was developed in collaboration with specialists from the MIT Media Lab, the Digital Wellness Lab at Boston Children's Hospital, and the Family Online Safety Institute.
Currently, Reflect is available in beta for users on the Free, Pro, and Max plans who have memory enabled. Future updates promise to include a counter for the total time spent on Claude and support for analyzing the Cowork mode history.
