The establishment of a Higher School of Integrated Educational Programs in Uzbekistan is planned, which will be based on the curricula of British universities. This proposal was approved by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev during a presentation dedicated to the implementation of international standards.
School Structure and Partners
According to information provided by the head of state's press service, the new school will operate under the Tashkent Architectural and Construction University. Educational courses will be organized according to the programs of the Universities of Northampton and Hertfordshire, with subsequent involvement from the Italian Sapienza University, the University of Southampton, and the University of Glasgow. Students studying here will receive diplomas from these foreign partners.
Benefits for Students
The integrated educational programs are designed to significantly reduce the financial burden on students. While studying in the UK currently costs around $50,000 annually, the new programs will allow for a tenfold reduction in education and living expenses abroad.
Education System and Development Plans
The new system provides for continuity of education between the lyceum, technical college, university, and the school itself. Graduates of the ninth grade will be able to spend two years of study in their home country and then continue their education at a foreign university for three years. Furthermore, a project is planned in Tashkent to create an International University Town, similar to Education City in Qatar, as well as projects in the UAE and Korea, offering tax benefits, grants, and licensing.
A responsible person has been assigned to gradually expand the integrated programs and strengthen ties with leading global universities. Previously, rules in Uzbekistan regarding the recognition of language and other certificates were also adjusted, resulting in additional points for applicants and salary increases for teachers.
