The parties discussed the current progress of the project to create the international year-round Chirgan resort, as well as broader strategies for expanding bilateral cooperation in mountain tourism. The main focus of the negotiations was on the pace of construction of the modern tourist infrastructure of the resort.
The French industrial company provides complete engineering equipment and is directly involved in the construction of key complex facilities. Currently, work is underway on building cable cars and lifts, installing automated artificial snowmaking systems, setting up avalanche protection structures, and creating modern attractions for tourists.
During the meeting, representatives of both sides emphasized the critical importance of completing the project on schedule, maintaining high quality standards during construction, and forming a modern resort complex in Chirgan that fully complies with international standards. Furthermore, officials considered the possibility of attracting experienced international companies in the hotel business and resort management for operating the complex after it comes into service.
Following the meeting, both sides confirmed their mutual commitment to developing practical partnership initiatives aimed at expanding the verticals of mountain, family, sports, and wellness tourism in Uzbekistan. The MND Group specializes in the design and production of mountain resort infrastructure, implementing turnkey projects including cable transport, artificial snow generation systems, avalanche safety networks, and specialized entertainment facilities, cooperating with over 3000 clients in 49 countries worldwide.
The construction process has begun for the international multifunctional mountain-tourism and recreational complex Arashan Resort, located in the Pap district of Namangan region, Uzbekistan. The total cost of the project is 150 million US dollars.
The Governor of Namangan region, Shavkat Abdurazakov, recently visited the construction site to assess the current state of development. During the visit, the governor examined the construction phase, the pace of installation work, as well as the creation of engineering, communication, and modern tourist infrastructure.
The project is being implemented by Arashan Resort company. According to plans, 75 million dollars out of the total budget of 150 million dollars will be utilized by 2026. After commissioning, the complex will be able to accommodate up to 912,000 tourists annually.
The foreign partner in the project is the Japanese company NGEA (Nippon Global Education and Assessment). Officials noted that this company's participation guarantees the resort's compliance with international standards, will improve the quality of tourist services, and create conditions for increasing the flow of foreign guests.
Shavkat Abdurazakov instructed responsible officials to ensure the completion of construction within the established deadlines, accelerate work at all sites, and commission the complex according to schedule. It is expected that Arashan Resort will become one of the largest investment projects in Namangan region. The implementation of this project is aimed at developing the region's tourism potential, creating new jobs, expanding the service sector, and increasing the region's international attractiveness.
The Hokim of the Fergana region, Khairullo Bozorov, held an official meeting with a delegation from the Chinese consulting company China Urban Construction Design & Research Institute Co., Ltd. (CUCDRI). The delegation was headed by Director Xue Yuwei.
The main focus of the parties was on launching promising joint projects in the fields of architecture, urban planning, creation of modern infrastructure, and comprehensive territorial development of the region.
The head of the region emphasized that large-scale programs for updating the construction sector are currently being implemented in Uzbekistan, particularly in the Fergana Valley. The regional leader expressed confidence that attracting the experience of leading Chinese specialists will help successfully implement the planned goals.
For his part, Xue Yuwei noted that the company's specialists are closely studying the economic, construction, and investment potential of the Fergana region. The head of the foreign delegation confirmed significant interest in participating in major projects for urban environment renewal.
During the exchange of views, the parties thoroughly examined the mechanisms for the practical implementation of the planned initiatives. The region's Hokim stressed the need for the prompt appointment of responsible executors from both sides to immediately proceed to the first stage of joint work.
As a result of the negotiations, mutual agreement was reached on building a long-term partnership and phased implementation of all agreed projects in the field of urban planning.
