Uzbekistan is preparing to host the 38th International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) in 2026. This event is recognized as one of the most important global competitions for school students involved in programming.
Tournament Details
The tournament is scheduled to take place from August 9 to August 16. IOI holds the status of the main global competition for young programmers, as technology companies and leading scientific institutions use it to find the most talented schoolchildren.
Scale and Participation
Delegations from 97 different countries have confirmed their participation in the Olympiad, including 386 talented schoolchildren. The Uzbekistan team demonstrates successful experience in participating in such events: at IOI 2025, held in Bolivia, students from Uzbekistan were able to win both silver and bronze medals.
