Indonesia expresses hope to double its export volume to the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) thanks to the signing of a free trade zone agreement.
At a press conference following the 'Innoprom' exhibition, an Indonesian representative stated: 'We have signed a free trade zone agreement with the EAEU. We hope to achieve an increase in export volume by two hundred percent in the Eurasian Economic Union market.'
The Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) is an international economic association that has been operating since January 1, 2015. The Union includes Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan. Additionally, Moldova, Cuba, and Iran hold observer status in the EAEU. Uzbekistan obtained observer status in the EAEU in 2020.
