In preschool educational institutions of the Namangan region, activities aimed at strengthening the health of pupils, organizing their free time in a meaningful way, and supporting their physical and intellectual development are being implemented as part of summer health improvement.
More than ten clubs have been launched for 150 pupils at the 73rd state preschool educational institution in Yangi Namangan District. In accordance with the 'Summer Health Improvement' program, sports competitions, creative classes, logic games, and cultural and educational events are organized.
Furthermore, special attention is paid to forming healthy lifestyle skills in children and developing reading culture through projects such as 'Neptune Day', 'Poetry Evening', 'Guest is the King of the Sea', 'Grandfathers' Lessons', 'Honesty Day', and 'Healthy Day Routine'.
Large-scale events aimed at supporting the population took place in the border areas of Uzunsky district in the Surkhondaryev region. Special attention was paid to studying social problems, providing practical assistance to residents, and strengthening patriotic feelings among young people.
As part of this event, a free medical examination was organized for the local population with the participation of doctors from the Termiz Military Hospital. Therapists, cardiologists, pediatricians, and other specialists checked the health status of citizens, provided treatment recommendations if necessary, and arranged additional medical examinations.
In addition, a mobile reception was held with the participation of heads of relevant organizations and industry officials, where appeals and suggestions from the public were heard. Many issues were resolved on the spot, while appeals requiring further study were passed on to responsible persons for implementation.
The culmination of the event was the military-patriotic festival, which took place throughout the day. Musical performances by the military band, demonstrations by servicemen, and concerts featuring artists created a festive atmosphere for the participants. The festival contributed to strengthening young people's feelings of love for the Motherland, national pride, and respect for military service.
These events demonstrated the effectiveness of efforts aimed at supporting the population living in border areas, improving their social protection, strengthening open dialogue with state institutions, and improving the standard of living.
As part of the 65th International Flower Festival in the Namangan region, a press tour was organized for visitors to the Popsky district, dedicated to the lavender fields.
Representatives of central and local media, journalists, and bloggers from the region took part in the press tour. At the opening ceremony, Botirjon Nuritdinov, Deputy Head of the Namangan region, spoke, emphasizing that this year's festival has become richer, new tourist locations are being formed, and the traditional event 'Lavender Holiday' is gaining special significance.
Participants of the press tour familiarized themselves with extensive areas where medicinal and aromatic plants are cultivated and received detailed information about lavender cultivation, its processing, and economic efficiency. Specialists noted that lavender is an export crop that yields harvests for many years after initial planting.
Currently, under a project worth 40 million US dollars, implemented by the limited liability company 'MEHRIGIYO', the cultivation of medicinal plants and the production of aromatic products have begun on an area of 500 hectares.
The lavender fields located on the slopes of the Bepoyon mountains attracted great interest from festival guests. The purple fields drew attention due to their natural beauty and unique status as a photo spot. Furthermore, a concert program was presented as part of the event. Such festivals held in the lavender fields of the Popsky district contribute to demonstrating Namangan's tourism potential, developing agritourism, and increasing the region's investment attractiveness.
In the Surkhandarya region, as in all republics, a selection stage for admission to the presidential school took place. The test trials were organized in 11 buildings in the city of Termiz, including the building of the regional office of the Agency for Knowledge and Qualification Assessment.
Documents were received from 4356 students for 24 available quotas for the 5th grade of the presidential school. Applications to the educational institution for the 2026/2027 academic year were submitted in online format via the website ariza.piima.uz from June 25 to July 14 of this year.
Students took the test exams in a total of 146 groups in the buildings where the tests were held. Unlike previous years, the testing process this year was conducted in a single shift.
It is expected that the entrance exams will take place in two stages. 400 people who scored the highest points among the children who applied from the cities and districts of the region will be selected to participate in the second stage.
