The domestic telecommunications equipment manufacturer HFCL has received an export order worth 495.8 crore rupees from an international data center company for the supply of fiber optic cable. This was reported in regulatory documentation on Friday.
Order Details and Delivery Timeline
According to the submitted documentation, the company secured an export order valued at approximately 51.98 million US dollars, equivalent to about 495.80 crore rupees. This order involves supplying optical fiber-based connectivity solutions for data centers through a foreign subsidiary fully owned by the parent company to a well-known international client. The delivery deadline for this order is set until December 2026.
Expansion of Production Capacity
This new contract follows the recent launch of HFCL's OptiQ AI data center solutions portfolio. Furthermore, HFCL announced an expansion of its fiber optic cable manufacturing capacity to 45 million kilometers of fiber routes, increasing the figure from 39 thousand km per year. The company is also increasing its optical fiber capacity to 40 million fiber routes (rkm) per year, up from the previous 30 million rkm per year.
Business Financial Performance
It is worth noting that HFCL's business in Optical Fiber Cable (OFC) achieved a record order volume of 13,483 crore rupees in the last financial period.
