Uzbekistan Ministry of Sport Considers Priority Tasks

Qualifying competitions among female volleyball players are ongoing in the city of Tashkent as part of the 'New Uzbekistan – Olympic Heights!' tournament, which is being held at the capital's 'Olympic Village.'

Progress of Volleyball Matches

The stage for women's teams in volleyball has begun. On the first day of the qualifying round, six matches took place under the 'Presidential Olympiad' program.

Results of the First Games

The first match was between teams from Bukhara and Jizzakh. In a tense and decisive match, the girls from Jizzakh won with a score of 0:2.

Next, volleyball players from Syrdarya and Khorezm took to the court. This match also ended with a score of 0:2, allowing the girls from Khorezm to secure an important victory.

Other Matches of the Day

In the match between teams from Samarkand and the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the girls from Nukus won with a score of 1:2. Also, the matches between Surkhandarya and Fergana, as well as Tashkent Region and Andijan, ended with a score of 0:2.

Day's Finale

The last match of the day was the game between teams from Kashkadarya and Tashkent city. This exciting contest was decided in the third set, where the girls from Tashkent won with a score of 1:2.

The team competitions in table tennis at the XXX Asian Championship, held in Bangkok, Thailand, for the U15 and U19 women's and men's age groups have concluded, after which individual matches began.

Team Competition Results

In the team matches, Uzbekistan's national teams showed the best result in the U15 age category among all teams. The Uzbekistan U15 team successfully passed the group stage and defeated the Kazakhstan national team with a score of 3:1 in the round of 16.

Although one of the strongest teams in the championship, which participated in the quarter-finals, lost to South Korea with a score of 0:3, the Uzbekistan team finished the competition in 5th place.

Historical Result and Individual Achievements

This result was noted as the highest achieved by the Uzbekistan team at the Asian Table Tennis Championship in history. In yesterday's individual matches, Uzbek female players won a total of 12 games.

Specifically, the girls participated in 13 matches, winning 7 and losing 6. As for the boys, they won 5 out of 13 games and lost in 8 matches.

Winners in Individual Matches

In the matches that were not lost, the Uzbekistan teams achieved victories from the girls: Aruzhan Kamalova, Adelina Hasanova, Dilnavoz Omonova, Munisa Masharipova, and also from the boys: Lochinbek Abdukhalilov, Husain Iskandarov, Alikhan Kamalov, and Rahmatillo Abdurashidov. Today, July 2, the following important matches of the continental championship's individual stage will take place. The championship will last until July 5.

Representatives of the national team of Uzbekistan took part successfully in the first day of the international athletics tournament, which started in the city of Chimkent, Kazakhstan. The athletes managed to pass the qualification rounds and reach the finals in several disciplines.

The event also holds significance due to the awarding of important points for the world ranking.

In the men's 400-meter hurdles race, Hasanbek Rustamjonov won his qualifying group with a time of 54.02 seconds. Sardor Umarov also advanced to the final, finishing with a time of 54.61 seconds.

In the women's 400-meter race, Jonbibi Hukmova won the championship with a result of 54.93 seconds. Irina Levina (57.47 seconds) and Surayyo Zaripova (58.27 seconds) also qualified for the final.

Results in Short Distances

In the men's 400-meter race, Abbosbek Toshtemirov and Sarvar Jontemirov qualified for the final stage, posting times of 48.14 and 48.78 seconds, respectively.

Uzbek athletes also demonstrated confident performance in sprint disciplines. Lailo Allaberganova took first place in the women's 100-meter race, running 11.76 seconds. In the men's race, Gofurjon Sultanov finished the qualifying round in first place, achieving a time of 10.58 seconds, which secured him a spot in the final.

In the following days of the tournament, Uzbek track and field athletes will continue to compete for medals and accumulate valuable points for the world ranking.
