The film 'Main Wapas Aaunga' by director Imtiaz Ali has become one of the most discussed surprises in Bollywood this year. Initially, after the first day when the film collected 11.5 million rupees, trade analysts began to consider it a failure. Despite the absence of obvious 'masala' elements that could guarantee high collections at the box office, the film required some time to find its audience. In the first week, the film collected 12.25 million rupees, but thanks to audience support in the second week, revenue grew by more than 80%, reaching 22.55 million rupees.

In the first five days of the third week, the film's collection exceeded 16 million rupees, which is still more than the first week's collection. In total, over 20 days, the net income of 'Main Wapas Aaunga' reached 50.95 million rupees. Meanwhile, the film's stated budget was 70 million rupees.

Since a significant portion of film budgets nowadays goes to OTT deals, commercial success at the box office is considered to be achieving about 65% of the budget in theaters. Thus, for 'Main Wapas Aaunga' to be recognized as successful, it needed to collect about 45 million rupees. Now, with almost 51 million rupees, the film is ready to be called a clean box office hit.

The film's premiere is scheduled for July 3rd in theaters.
