A tragic incident has been reported from the Anekal area to the city of Bangalore, Karnataka: an eighth-grade student committed suicide by hanging. The incident occurred on Thursday evening, and her family learned about it on Friday morning. The police have registered a case and launched an investigation.
Circumstances and Suicide Note
According to the police, the student attended the government primary secondary school in Marasuru in Anekal. A suicide note was found in her room. In it, she stated that an event that took place at school had deeply traumatized her.
The note claimed that she was falsely accused of stealing money—20 and 10 rupees—even though she had committed no theft. Teachers reprimanded her for this, and she could not bear the humiliation.
Content of the Deceased's Message
The note contained heartbreaking content. The girl wrote that the situation at school caused her severe pain, and she was falsely accused of misappropriating funds. She asserted that she was guilty of stealing 20 and 10 rupees, which was untrue. She also mentioned that all the teachers were scolding her, and she could no longer tolerate such insults and suffering. She expressed the opinion that she was unworthy to live in this world.
Furthermore, in the message, she appealed to her mother, sister, and brother to take care of them. She asked them not to blame or scold her mother. She asked everyone to forgive her, addressing her mother: 'Mom, please forgive me. I no longer have the right to live on this earth.' She repeated that she was accused of theft when she did not do it, and that she could not live with this humiliation.
Family Version and Investigation
The deceased's mother stated that at the time of the incident, she was in the hospital receiving treatment for a skin disease, and her daughter was staying with her aunt. She assured that no one in the house subjected the girl to harassment, as she would certainly have reported it. However, she learned that some teachers at the school bullied her, although she could not name names.
The family claims that constant reprimands and alleged humiliation at school were the cause of this action. Meanwhile, the police are examining the suicide note and investigating the circumstances under which the student was accused of theft. A decision on further actions will be made after studying all aspects. The case has been registered at the Suryangar police station, and the police are interviewing the school teachers, relatives, and other interested parties.
