Renault is preparing to introduce a range of new products to the Indian market. According to available data, the company plans to present twelve different models over the next eighteen months.
Updates and New Models
Renault recently released an updated version of the Renault Kwid. Although this update did not involve radical changes, some new details were added. A new Duster was previously introduced at the beginning of this year, but its hybrid version has not yet gone on sale. The company is considering launching the Duster Hybrid during the upcoming festive season. These twelve planned products include both updates and facelifts of existing models, as well as entirely new vehicles.
Details of Updates and Developments
It should be noted that updates for the Kiger and Triber were released in 2025. The new Kwid features a new logo and a simplified trim structure. This car is now available in only two configurations, and both options offer both manual and automatic transmissions.
Furthermore, the brand is working on a three-row version of the Duster, intended for buyers who require extra passenger space. This vehicle will be based on the Bigster model, which will appear on the global market. Currently, the company has not provided information on its release date.
Electrification and New Segments
Renault is also considering adding an electric vehicle to its lineup, in addition to new passenger cars and the hybrid Duster. The company is preparing to launch a compact electric vehicle, and reports suggest that the Electric Kwid may appear in the Indian market. Simultaneously, the brand is developing a new compact SUV model, hinted at as the Mini Duster. This refers to the Renault Bridger Concept, which was presented shortly after the launch of the Duster.
This compact crossover could be equipped with a 1-liter turbocharged petrol engine. The company plans to position this vehicle alongside the Kiger. The launch of this model could take place early next year. Renault's portfolio will also include limited editions, cosmetic changes, and technological improvements.
Constant Flow of Novelties
Renault India CEO, Stéphane Deblais, stated that he cannot go two months without any major announcement, meaning the company will regularly introduce something new to the market every two months.
