A resurgence of coronavirus infection has been observed in India. A 46-year-old man who contracted coronavirus died in the city of Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh state.
Details of the death case
This was reported by the district medical and sanitary officer Ravi Babu on Thursday. He specified that despite receiving medication, the patient could not recover, and his life ended after four days of therapy.
Patient's health condition
The victim, who had an alcohol dependency, was hospitalized after complaining of severe shortness of breath and cough. An X-ray revealed that both his lungs were completely damaged, leading to pneumonia.
Initially, doctors prescribed powerful antibiotics to the patient, but his condition did not improve during the four days of treatment. Following this, the medical staff suspected a coronavirus infection. A chest CT scan confirmed the presence of the virus.
Measures after death
Ravi Babu stated that necessary measures were taken in the area after the patient's death. The room was cleaned and disinfected. Furthermore, identification is underway for individuals who came into contact with the deceased, including close contacts and those who contacted them, to prevent the spread of the infection.
