Saida Mirziyoyeva held a meeting with a French delegation on strategic investment projects

The Head of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan, Saida Mirziyoyeva, held a business meeting with a high-level delegation representing leading French business circles. The delegation was headed by Claude Imoven, Chairman of the Council for France and Uzbekistan Affairs at MEDEF International, and also Chairman of the Board of Directors of Orano.

Discussion of Cooperation and Investments

During this high-level dialogue, both sides detailed long-term plans to expand mutually beneficial commercial cooperation in several key industrial sectors. Priority areas for attracting French capital and engineering solutions include modern energy grids, higher education development, public water management systems, and smart urban transport structures.

According to Saida Mirziyoyeva, this round table was a direct continuation of the constructive diplomatic agreement reached during recent high-level meetings with French President Emmanuel Macron.

Economic Partnership Between the Countries

The meeting highlighted France's growing presence in the Uzbek economy following the elevation of bilateral relations to the level of strategic partnership. The joint economic portfolio remains very active; only in the energy sector are French multinational corporations, including EDF, TotalEnergies, and Voltalia, currently implementing or preparing projects worth over 4 billion US dollars. These projects focus on high-efficiency combined cycle gas turbines (CCGT), as well as large-scale solar and wind energy storage complexes.

Mining Industry and Next Steps

Concurrently, Claude Imoven's presence emphasizes ongoing joint ventures in mining and geological exploration through Nurlikum Mining. This joint venture was established between Orano and the state enterprise Navoiyuran and is actively involved in expanding the extraction and processing of uranium deposits in the Kyzylkum region.

Although no specific financial figures or signed corporate contracts were disclosed at the end of the session, both sides confirmed their intention to conduct targeted expert-level consultations to accelerate the implementation of the discussed infrastructure initiatives.
