Actor Rajesh Sharma, who often plays supporting roles in Indian cinema, is currently fighting for his life in a West Bengal hospital. His condition worsened after being bitten by an insect on the film set, leading to serious health problems and subsequent hospitalization.

According to actress Sudipa Chatterjee, whose press release was issued on July 8, Rajesh Sharma was filming Prabhas' movie in Hyderabad. During the shoot, he was bitten by an insect on his leg, and the venom spread through his body. Sudipa specified that the incident occurred on the set of Prabhas' film at Ramoji Film City during filming.

During the shoot, while Sharma was talking to local technical staff after finishing work, he was bitten by an insect among the dense nearby bushes. Initially, he did not consider it serious and did not rush to a doctor. However, after about six hours, he began experiencing severe pain in his right leg, and his condition started deteriorating.

Despite his worsening health, he boarded a flight heading to Kolkata. During the flight, he developed a high fever and increased anxiety, which led to further deterioration of his condition. The next day, he was taken to Manipal Hospital in Dhakuria, Kolkata. More than a day has passed since the incident, but he continues to have a high fever and breathing problems.

The infection in his right leg is spreading rapidly, reaching from his toes to his knee, and large blisters have formed on the affected area. The hospital medical team is conducting all necessary examinations and treatments. Doctors cannot yet provide precise comments on the actor's condition, and he cannot yet be considered out of danger. There are concerns that if the infection progresses, a blood clot may form, which could become fatal if it reaches the lungs.
