The Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan held a meeting with representatives of the Pakistani company Agha Jee Herbal World in Tashkent. The main topic of discussion was the possibilities for bilateral cooperation in the field of crop cultivation and the development of traditional medicine.
Pharmaceutical Production Planning
During the negotiations, the parties detailed the prospects of launching the production of herbal medicines on the territory of Uzbekistan. The foreign partner expressed interest in establishing a specialized training center, a medical clinic, and production facilities in Tashkent to release herbal preparations under its own brand.
Investment Proposals
A separate block of the negotiations was dedicated to investment proposals from the Pakistani side aimed at introducing new agricultural sectors in the republic. Investors proposed organizing the cultivation of saffron and high-quality Basmati rice varieties in various regions of Uzbekistan.
Next Steps in Cooperation
The participants exchanged views on selecting the most suitable locations for implementing these projects, studied the agrotechnical requirements for growing the specified crops, and outlined potential export channels for future products. At the end of the negotiations, the parties agreed to continue the joint detailed development of all presented initiatives and investment projects.
