The city of Durban is preparing to host the international conference reSURGEnce Durban Conference, which will take place from October 24 to 28 of this year. Delegates from the USA, the Caribbean, and a wide global diaspora are expected to attend the event.

The eThekwini Municipality stated that it is in an advanced stage of planning and preparation for the successful hosting of the international event. The Mayor of eThekwini, Musa Mbhele, and the reSURGEnce conference coordinator in the USA, Reverend Dennis Dillon, confirmed Durban's readiness to welcome guests from around the world.
Musa Mbhele emphasized that Durban is open to business and ready to welcome the world, noting that the city is a leading destination for investment and trade. He reported that the city offers first-class conference facilities, modern infrastructure, and a favorable environment for business growth, and expressed hope of connecting global delegates with local opportunities, demonstrating Durban's investment potential. Furthermore, he added that comprehensive security measures are in place to ensure visitors' comfortable and productive stay.

The municipality announced a dynamic conference program that will include an exhibition of local goods, sessions dedicated to sharing business knowledge and ideas, business meetings to open up partnership and investment opportunities, networking events, spiritual activities, and cultural exchange. Following the conclusion of the conference in Durban, the program will continue in the USA from November 17 to 22 in New York and Newark.
