China and Taiwan are preparing for what could be the largest storm in recent years. Super Typhoon Bawi, which possesses a massive size—with a diameter exceeding 1300 km—and a moist plume, will bring abundant rainfall to eastern and central regions of China, including parts of Hubei province and neighboring territories that have already suffered from flooding after Typhoon Maysak.
According to forecasts, Super Typhoon Bawi is expected to reach the coast of Fujian on Saturday. This storm is notable because its wind area ranks among the top 3% of all Pacific typhoons over the last decade, with wind speeds reaching 110 knots. It will bring torrential rains and flooding.
The appearance of El Niño in 2026 may contribute to rising sea surface temperatures, which in turn will lead to an increase in the frequency and intensity of typhoons.
According to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM), the weather in the United Arab Emirates on Tuesday, July 14, will be generally clear or partly cloudy.
Light to moderate winds are expected throughout the day. The highest humidity is forecast for Wednesday night and morning over some western coastal areas.
The sea in the Arabian Gulf will be calm, while in the Oman Sea it will be small to moderate, occasionally becoming rough.
Air temperatures will reach 45°C in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah. On the other hand, the minimum temperature will be 32°C in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, and a minimum of 31°C is expected in Sharjah.
Starting from July 15, 2026, the Tashkent metro is introducing temporary speed restrictions on its elevated lines. This decision was made in connection with abnormally hot weather and the rise of rail temperatures above permissible limits.
According to metro staff, this decision was made to guarantee passenger safety and ensure uninterrupted operation. Under current safety regulations, if the temperature of steel rails exceeds the established standard of 55°C, the speed of trains on elevated sections will be reduced from 60 km/h to 40 km/h daily until 18:00.
These temporary restrictions may partially affect service intervals. The metro administration warned that waiting times on affected routes could increase up to fourteen minutes. It was also emphasized that the restrictions apply exclusively to trains running on elevated lines and will not affect the service of underground parts of the transport network.
Weather forecasts indicate significant changes in the coming days across various parts of Brazil. While a frontal system will bring rain to the Northeast and part of the North Region, the rest of the national territory is expected to maintain stable weather, with cold early mornings and alerts for frost and low air humidity.
The main climatic change will occur in the Northeast. According to Inmet data, a low-pressure system over the Atlantic Ocean is organizing a frontal system that will intensify precipitation between the southern coast of Bahia and Alagoas, with higher incidence expected on Wednesday (15). This instability will also extend to areas of Ceará, Piauí, and Maranhão.
On the southern coast of Bahia, specifically between Itacaré and Porto Seguro, there is a coastal wind warning valid for Tuesday (14). Amazonas, Pará, and Roraima have the highest probability of rain on Tuesday (14), with expectations of isolated showers and thunderstorms. On Wednesday (15), the instability will remain more focused on Amazonas and Pará, while other states will record scattered rain. Acre, Rondônia, and Tocantins are expected to experience predominantly dry weather during most of the period, although northern Tocantins may have localized rain.

Residents of the Southern Region will face another night of low temperatures on Tuesday (14). A cold air mass will keep thermometers between 0°C and 4°C, favoring the formation of frost in Paraná, Santa Catarina, and Rio Grande do Sul. On Wednesday (15), the intensity of the cold will decrease, allowing maximums to exceed 20°C in several cities.
In the Southeast, mornings will remain cold, especially in southern Minas Gerais and Campos do Jordão, where frost is still predicted. Light and isolated rains will be limited to the coast of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, as well as northeastern Minas Gerais.
For the Center-West, the forecast indicates few changes. There is a possibility of isolated rain in the Federal District and Goiás on Tuesday (14), and in the extreme north of Mato Grosso on Wednesday (15). The most notable aspect remains the low air humidity in Mato Grosso do Sul and southern Goiás, whose indices may vary between 20% and 30% during the afternoon.
In summary, the country will present a scenario of contrasts in the coming days: while the Northeast and North will see the return of rain, the South, Southeast, and Center-West regions will be marked by the persistence of cold and dry weather.
