A routine safari trip in Maasai Mara, Kenya, turned into an unforgettable wildlife encounter when four curious cheetah cubs surrounded the safari vehicle, turning it into their playground.

This wonderful moment was captured by wildlife photographer Prajwal Shetty Kaup. His vehicle was the only one to observe Nashipai, a known cheetah female, and her four cubs that day.
The Cubs' Playtime
While the vehicle remained still, the playful cubs did not waste time, exploring the surroundings. One confidently posed for the camera, another examined the tire with its paws, a third stood directly in front of the vehicle, and the fourth hid underneath it, forcing passengers to wait patiently.
Conclusion of the Encounter
Despite the close encounter, the cheetah family remained calm, and the cubs simply satisfied their natural curiosity in a relaxed setting. The moment ended as quietly as it began. Nashipai passed by the vehicle, and all four cubs immediately dropped their games to run after their mother across the open plains, continuing their day as if nothing unusual had happened.
Commenting on the experience, Prajwal noted: 'We were the only vehicle with Nashipai and her four cubs that day. Fifteen years in Africa, and moments like these never get old.'
