There is important news for candidates aspiring to become teachers in Uttar Pradesh. The Uttar Pradesh Education Selection Committee (UPESSC) has officially published the provisional answer keys for the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2026.
Accessing Keys and Filing Objections
Exam participants can download these keys from the official committee website. The committee released the answer keys simultaneously for both exams: for the primary level (Paper 1) and for the upper primary level (Paper 2) as part of the teacher recruitment drive in Uttar Pradesh.
Objection Submission Deadline
Along with the publication of the provisional keys, the committee has activated a link for filing objections. If a candidate has doubts or discrepancies regarding any question or answer in the key, they can submit their objection online until July 14, 2026. It is important to note that no objections will be considered after the stipulated deadline expires.
After reviewing all substantiated objections received from candidates, the committee will publish the final answer key, based on which the final UPTET 2026 results will be prepared.
How to Download the UPTET 2026 Key
To access the answer key, several steps must be followed. First, one must visit the official committee website, upessc.net. Then, on the homepage, click on the link 'UPTET 2026 Provisional Answer Key'. Next, the candidate must select the corresponding exam—Paper 1 or Paper 2. A PDF containing the answer key will then open, which should be downloaded and compared with one's own answers.
If a candidate finds a discrepancy in a question, they must file their objection through the established online process before July 14. An expert group will review all submitted objections. If the validity of an objection is confirmed, the provisional key will be corrected and uploaded to the website. After this, the acceptance of new objections will cease.
Significance of the UPTET Certificate
Candidates who successfully pass the UPTET 2026 exam will be issued a certificate of eligibility. This document is mandatory for applying for teaching positions in government schools in Uttar Pradesh, for both primary level (Classes 1–5) and upper primary level (Classes 6–8). Candidates are advised to monitor updates on the official website regarding the final key and results.
