The in-person phase of the educational program for employees of the Tax Committee of Uzbekistan has begun at the Academy of Leadership and Business Process Administration of the Federal Tax Service of Russia (FNS LAB) in St. Petersburg. Thirty-six representatives from the tax authorities of Uzbekistan are participating in the training.
Yulia Shepeleva, Deputy Head of the Federal Tax Service of Russia, noted that the first stage of the program, which took place last year, confirmed the high demand for this format of specialized training. According to her, the participants demonstrated significant interest in the training, and the achieved results formed the basis for the further development of joint cooperation.
Uktam Shamsiev, Director of the Department of Analysis and Assessment of Tax Administration of the Tax Committee of Uzbekistan, thanked the Russian side for developing this specialized program. He reported that based on the results of last year's training, 20 initiatives were formulated, which have already been implemented in the practical activities of the republic's tax authorities.
The current program covers the application of international financial reporting standards, development of effective negotiation skills, persuasion methods, increasing the personal effectiveness of civil servants, as well as leadership and the formation of highly effective teams. Special attention is paid to the use of artificial intelligence technologies in the field of tax administration.
In Yulia Shepeleva's opinion, all areas of study correspond to the current tasks of modern tax services, which need to take into account new technological trends and use digital tools to improve the quality and effectiveness of their work. Sergey Tokarev, Head of the Department of Professional Development of the Federal Tax Service of Russia, emphasized that the program is aimed not only at transferring theoretical knowledge but also at developing the practical skills necessary for specialists in the context of digital transformation. Furthermore, it promotes the exchange of best practices and experience among participants.
The educational program is being implemented within the framework of an agreement between the Federal Tax Service of Russia and the Tax Committee of Uzbekistan on technical assistance in conducting training programs on tax methodology and tax administration. This initiative is designed to strengthen cooperation between the tax authorities of the two countries and enhance the professional competencies of specialists. Ivan Efremov, Rector of the FNS LAB Academy, noted that one of the key objectives of the program is to adapt advanced Russian experience to the needs of the tax authorities of Uzbekistan, as well as to develop international professional interaction in the field of tax administration.
