According to data from the National Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Statistics, passenger car production in Uzbekistan reached 190,480 units during the period from January to May 2026. This figure exceeds the volume produced in the same period last year, which was 171,211 units.
Dynamics of truck and specialized transport production
The volume of truck output increased to 2,413 units compared to 1,873 units a year earlier. The production of specialized vehicles also showed growth, reaching 23,791 units up from 17,397 units.
Changes in the output of specific models
Among specific passenger car models, the largest production volume was recorded for the Cobalt model, which amounted to 69,302 units, compared to 58,904 units a year earlier. Significant growth was also noted for the BYD model, whose output almost doubled, reaching 10,120 units versus 5,495 units in January-May 2025.
Additionally, the production of Haval models increased to 4,038 units from 2,930 units, and KIA output rose to 11,128 units compared to 10,076 units.
Decrease and slight increase in some models
Meanwhile, there was a decrease in the output of some models. Damas production decreased to 35,269 units compared to 38,753 units a year earlier. Onix output fell to 15,157 units from 16,215 units, and Chery production dropped to 3,156 units from 3,362 units. The Tracker model showed a slight increase, reaching 18,519 units compared to 18,079 units last year.
