Deputy Prime Ministers of both countries, Jamshid Khodjaev and Yuri Shuleiko, along with representatives of governments, regional administrations, relevant ministries, agencies, and business circles, took part in the plenary session.
Forum participants noted that Belarus continues to be one of Uzbekistan's most important strategic partners, and bilateral cooperation is becoming increasingly practical.
Main attention was paid to strengthening direct ties between the regions, expanding industrial cooperation, and implementing joint production projects. During discussions, it was emphasized that the economies of the two states complement each other, creating prerequisites for production localization, the formation of value chains, and the promotion of goods to third-country markets.
Following the conclusion of the forum, a ceremony was held to sign interregional documents, as well as agreements in the field of investment and trade. The business program of the event included thematic sessions dedicated to industry, agriculture, the woodworking sector, furniture production, and socio-humanitarian cooperation.
A meeting took place in Tashkent between Alisher Agzamhodzhaev, Chairman of the Senate Committee of the Oliy Majlis on International Relations, Foreign Economic Ties, Foreign Investments, and Tourism, and Alexander Ogorodnikovsky, Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to Uzbekistan.
The negotiations, which took place on June 30, 2026, were dedicated to the prospects for further strengthening bilateral interaction. The main focus was on enhancing Uzbek-Belarusian relations, primarily through developing interparliamentary dialogue, as well as expanding cooperation in the fields of trade, economy, investment, culture, humanitarian issues, and tourism.
During the meeting, participants emphasized the importance of activating parliamentary diplomacy, continuing mutual visits, and holding joint events. The parties also noted the need to deepen interaction within international parliamentary platforms.
At the conclusion of the talks, the participants reaffirmed their readiness to strengthen friendly relations and strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Belarus, increase interparliamentary dialogue, and consistently develop practical cooperation in both bilateral and multilateral formats.
