The mobile operator Mobiuz continues to expand its network in Andijan, Namangan, and Fergana regions. Special attention is being paid to the implementation of 5G technology in the region.
The Fergana Valley is home to approximately one-third of Uzbekistan's population, which places high demands on the capacity of mobile networks. It is necessary to ensure that millions of users can simultaneously use smartphones, including watching videos, making money transfers, and making calls without a decrease in quality.
Over the past year and a half, Mobiuz has actively integrated 5G networks. Currently, more than 300 5G base stations are operating in various cities and districts of the Fergana Valley. Between January and June 2026, 5G coverage was launched for the first time in the Shakhrikhan district of the Andijan region and the Chust district of the Namangan region, and it was also expanded in the city of Fergana.
The growing interest in this technology is confirmed by internet traffic data: over the past year and a half, the volume of data consumed on 5G networks in the Fergana Valley has increased 600 times and continues to grow.
Parallel to the development of 5G, there is an overall increase in mobile internet consumption across all networks. In June 2026, compared to December 2025, Mobiuz subscribers used 14% more mobile internet in the Andijan region, 5% more in the Namangan region, and 4% more in the Fergana region.
This increase is directly related to the development of Mobiuz's infrastructure. Since the beginning of 2026, over 130 new 4G LTE base stations have been commissioned in the Fergana Valley. These new sites appeared in the Asakin and Markhamat districts of the Andijan region, in the Uchkuprik district, as well as in the cities of Fergana and Margilan in the Fergana region, and in the Chust and Turakurgansky districts, and in the city of the Namangan region.
In addition, dozens of existing base stations in all settlements of the three regions have been modernized, and work has been carried out on the trunk infrastructure.
The work performed has a positive impact on the daily lives of subscribers: videos and applications load faster, video calls and financial transactions become more stable, and 5G network has appeared for the first time in some areas. The improvement in mobile internet quality can be checked using services such as Speedtest.net and fast.com.
Mobiuz plans to continue investing in infrastructure development across the republic. In the future, the company intends to highlight the results of its work in the Karakalpakstan Republic and the Khorezm region.
