The Fundação Centro Cultural de Belém (CCB) admitted the persistence of limitations in its accessibility conditions but announced that it is implementing a plan aimed at improving access, participation, and enjoyment of its spaces, with a total investment of 2.9 million euros.
Criticism from the Acesso Cultura Association
The Acesso Cultura association expressed today its dissatisfaction with the lack of response from CCB, located in Lisbon, to the accessibility problems faced by disabled artists, despite more than a decade of contact and various alerts sent to the institution.
Commitment and Improvement Plan
In a statement directed to Lusa, the foundation justified that its objective remains to gradually make its venues, programming, and working conditions for artists, collaborators, and the public more inclusive. The Board of Directors declared that this is an ongoing commitment that requires planning, investment, dialogue, and continuity, recognizing that there are still barriers to be eliminated.
