Located on a sloping plot, the house was adapted to the tropical characteristics of the area. To achieve this, a volume was adopted that, although compact, possesses great expressiveness. The internal organization revolves around a living room featuring a double height ceiling and utilizing natural ventilation.
This central space functions as the social and environmental core of the development. It serves to attract natural light into the interior of the house while establishing visual and physical connections between the various floors of the residence.
The design team submitted the description of the Iporanga Beach House, which was signed by architect David Bastos, responsible for the DB Arquitetos office. This beach residence has two floors and is located within a closed condominium in the Guarujá region, on the southern coast of the state of São Paulo.
Located a few kilometers from Mallorca, the Cabrera archipelago is a protected area comprising 19 islands and islets. Unlike bustling Mallorca, it is part of an ecological reserve, offering a more bucolic atmosphere. Cabrera has functioned as a Marine-Terrestrial National Park since 1991, which prohibits the presence of beach clubs, bars, and hotels. It hosts rich biodiversity, including over 450 species of plants and 200 species of fish, and serves as a migration site for more than 150 species of birds. The main island features historical attractions such as Cabrera Castle, built in the late 14th century to defend against pirates. Additionally, the Cabrera Museum is located on the island, housing archaeological finds and detailing fishing traditions. Among the natural wonders are the Blue Cave, known for its crystal-clear waters, and several pristine beaches, such as Sa Platgeta and S'Espalmador.
