The Ministry of Road Transport announced in an official notice that all commercial vehicles operating on electricity, as well as on E85 fuel (containing 85% ethanol), M100 (pure methanol), or hydrogen, will be exempt from the requirement to obtain permits for a period of seven years.
History of transport benefits
Previously, in 2018, the ministry had already provided an exemption for electric commercial vehicles, as well as for those using ethanol and methanol, to encourage citizens to choose more environmentally friendly options.
Changes in recent regulations
Until now, there was no specific duration set for this exemption for such vehicles. However, in the latest notice dated July 6, this preferential status was extended to hydrogen-powered vehicles and simultaneously limited to a seven-year period.
