Due to the deterioration of the water supply situation in the municipality, the President of the Almada Municipal Council declared a state of alert in the municipality this Wednesday. This measure aims to reinforce the actions already implemented to ensure supply to both the population and vital services.
Contingency measures and scheduled cuts
The Almada City Council announced a complete cut in the water supply, scheduled between 10:00 PM on Wednesday and 6:00 AM on Thursday, covering fifteen specific areas: Charneca da Caparica, Aroeira, Marisol, Fonte da Telha, Palhais, Lazarim, Botequim, Vila Nova da Caparica, Capuchos, Pilotos, Funchalinho, Vale Rosal, Vale Cavala, Quintinhas, and Quinta de Santa Teres. The local authority of the Setúbal district reported that service restoration will be gradual, meaning water may be restored at varying times in the affected zones.
