With the transition to Penguin Random House, which already had a considerable presence in the country, this step is seen as an advancement in the group's sustainable growth strategy in Portugal. For its part, the management of Penguin Random House in Portugal, represented by Clara Capitão and Pedro Veiga, emphasized that the acquisition allows for the integration of a high-quality collection and a loyal and engaged readership community. They assured the maintenance of the absorbed editorial brands, supporting the authors and their imprints to reach an even larger audience.

Commitment to the Portuguese Market

Núria Cabutí, Executive Director of Penguin Random House Editorial Group, also commented that this operation strengthens the group's commitment to building a Portuguese-language editorial group that is plural, innovative, and varied. This acquisition follows the trajectory of Penguin Random House Editorial Group's consolidation in Portugal, which occurred after the integration of 20/20 Editora in 2021.
