The Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) has dispatched 36 aid groups, comprising 152 people, to Iraq. These teams are intended to provide services to mourners participating in the procession for the funeral of the deceased Leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
Events in Iraq
Assistance is being provided in Najaf on Tuesday and in Karbala on Wednesday. According to data from the IRCS website, Pirhossein Kolivand, the organization's head, reported that approximately 500 doctors and volunteers are providing vital medical services at centers affiliated with the IRCS. These include Imam Ali Hospital and a clinic in Najaf, as well as three medical facilities in Karbala.
Healthcare Support
The Ministry of Health has also announced its readiness to provide medical care for the ceremony participants. It has dispatched ambulances, rescue vehicles, and medical teams to serve the mourners along the entire route.
