Representatives of the Austrian company Banner Batterien, the joint-stock company JAZ, and the Uztelesnavat Association held discussions on the prospects for joint work in the field of automotive battery production in Uzbekistan. These negotiations took place via video conference at the initiative of the industry association.
The participants reviewed issues of implementing modern technologies, realizing joint projects, and developing production oriented towards the Central Asian markets. The possibility of organizing the production of automotive batteries under the Banner brand at JAZ's production facilities was raised.
Furthermore, the parties exchanged views on mastering the technologies for producing AGM batteries and lithium-ion batteries, as well as issues of technology transfer and technical support. Supplies to the domestic market of Uzbekistan and export prospects to CIS and Central Asian countries were also discussed.
Representatives of JAZ presented data on the current production capabilities of the enterprise, localization potential, and implemented investment projects. In turn, representatives of Banner Batterien noted the attractiveness of the investment environment in Uzbekistan, the development of the automotive industry, and the prospects of the battery market, expressing interest in further expanding the partnership.
At the end of the meeting, all parties agreed to continue working on technical and commercial aspects, define subsequent stages of interaction, and maintain a constant working dialogue.
