Leapmotor has started accepting orders for the B03X, its latest global model, in the European market. This electric SUV is positioned as an urban crossover, comparable to the BYD Dolphin, and has a starting price of 24,900 euros, which is equivalent to approximately R$ 147 thousand.
The B03X represents the most powerful version of the A10, one of the Chinese manufacturer's most successful models. According to Leapmotor itself, this vehicle offers better performance, fast charging capability, and a range of up to 382 km. Its dimensions are 4.27 meters long, 1.81 meters wide, and 1.64 meters high, with a wheelbase of 2.61 meters, typical characteristics of a compact SUV aimed at urban use.
At the front, the brand implemented a trapezoidal air intake on the lower part of the bumper, complemented by ventilation openings located next to the fog lights. The vehicle was built using the Cell-to-Chassis (CTC) 2.0 Plus architecture, which integrates the battery directly into the chassis structure.
The B03X features a front electric motor that generates 197 hp and 20.4 kgfm. With this configuration, the car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 160 km/h. This increase in power is notable when compared to the A10 sold in China, which can be equipped with 95 hp or 122 hp motors, both producing 15.3 kgfm.
For the European market, customers have the option to choose between two types of lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries. A 39.8 kWh battery provides a range of up to 292 km in the WLTP cycle, while the 53 kWh battery extends this range to up to 382 km. Both options support fast charging at 2.5C, allowing the charge to go from 30% to 80% in about 16 minutes, according to the manufacturer.
Internally, the model incorporates the Leap OS 4.0 operating system and focuses on practical features. The trunk has an additional compartment at the bottom with a capacity of 106 liters, and the rear seats can be reclined up to 60 degrees to optimize cargo space.
The launch of the B03X strengthens Leapmotor's international expansion. In the Chinese market, the A10 was launched at the end of March as a direct competitor to the Geely Xingyuan (EX2 in Brazil) and achieved rapid success, ranking as the fourth best-selling car in the country in May, according to market data. With the Xingyuan also targeting Europe, the global version of the A10 aims to maintain competitiveness against its counterpart in the segment that propelled the model in its origin.
