Representatives from Uzbekistan Airports and Air China held negotiations regarding the prospects for developing cooperation and improving air links between Uzbekistan and China. These discussions took place at the central office of Uzbekistan Airports.
The meeting was attended by a delegation from Air China, led by external directors Su Yangsha, Tam Van Chi, and Gao Chunlei. The parties considered the possibility of increasing the frequency of regular flights on the Beijing–Tashkent–Beijing route from three to seven times a week.
The negotiators paid particular attention to the development of Air China's route network in Uzbekistan. Representatives of Uzbekistan Airports demonstrated the capabilities of the country's international airport infrastructure, including regional hubs capable of handling international flights.
The airports in the structural region of the Fergana Valley sparked particular interest from representatives of the Chinese airline. Air China stated its intention to study the potential of opening air connections with this region, noting its significance for the development of tourism, business ties, and humanitarian relations.
Uzbekistan Airports confirmed its readiness to further strengthen its partnership with Air China. The goal of this cooperation is to expand the route network, increase passenger traffic, and enhance transport links between Uzbekistan and China.
