Reports of a leopard's movement have appeared in the Bichawli area of Indora city. According to surveillance footage, the leopard attempted to attack a courier who was moving down the street. Following this incident, an atmosphere of fear has intensified among local residents.
Official Reaction and Animal Search
A forest service team that arrived at the scene began searching, but due to the rain, no traces of the leopard could be found. The team is currently continuing to search for the animal in the area.
Given the seriousness of the situation, the Director of Forestry (DFO) of Indora, Dr. Lal Sudhakar Singh, immediately dispatched a forest service rescue team to the location after receiving information about the incident.
Operational Actions and Circumstances
The Forest Service contacted local police and district administration officials for a coordinated search operation throughout the surrounding area. The DFO reported that due to continuous rains, no paw prints of the leopard or other conclusive signs were found, nor have there been reports of its reappearance.
A careful review of the video footage showed the date as July 7th and the time as night. According to local residents and video materials, the incident occurred in the Bichawli area.
Presumed Source of Appearance
The DFO hypothesized that the leopard might have gotten lost after leaving protected natural areas, such as the Ralamandal and Devguradia hills, which are near Indora city and are leopard habitats. The Forest Service instructed its personnel to locate the courier and check his health status. However, based on initial footage, he likely did not sustain serious injuries.
Dr. Lal Sudhakar Singh assured that if the victim is found, he will receive all necessary medical assistance according to regulations. The administration urged the public to remain vigilant.
