A working delegation from the Tashkent region of Uzbekistan arrived in the Republic of Belarus. The delegation was headed by regional Hokim Zoir Mirzaev. During the visit, a meeting took place with Nikolai Sherstnev, Deputy Head of the Directorate for Management of Presidential Property of the Republic of Belarus.
During the negotiations, participants noted that relations between Uzbekistan and Belarus are developing on the basis of strategic partnership and the principles of mutual trust established by the heads of the two states. The parties emphasized that bilateral interaction covers many areas, including industry, agriculture, investment, healthcare, education, tourism, and the humanitarian sphere, which serves as a foundation for further expanding mutually beneficial ties.
Zoir Mirzaev presented information about the opportunities of the Tashkent region in the field of economy and investment, as well as the prospects for developing cooperation and implementing joint projects. The Belarusian side highly appreciated the region's potential and expressed interest in further strengthening trade, economic, and investment interaction, as well as enhancing direct contacts between representatives of the business communities of both countries.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue systematic dialogue regarding the development and implementation of specific investment projects and increasing the level of cooperation. Additional meetings and negotiations with representatives of official structures and large enterprises are planned for the Tashkent region delegation's working visit.
The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, arrived in Minsk on an official visit on July 8th at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko.
As previously announced, high-level bilateral talks will take place in the capital of Belarus. During these meetings, plans are to discuss issues concerning the strengthening of multifaceted partnership relations between Uzbekistan and Belarus.
